Ingrid Betancourt, an invading icone

the pic is emotional, finally a happy family.

I had enough to hear “Betancourt” being the topic of our TV actualities, more since Sarko was elected.

The Betancourt family is old. the name came from the Normans history, I think one went to England with Guillaume the conquistador. From there the family went to Spain, where it became one of the richest families. I remember a road named after them in Tenerife. Then as good spanish conquistadores, a part of the family emigrated to Latin America, not as poor emigrants, but to handle businesses.

Ingrid Betancourt was the Unesco embassador’s daughter, her sister is married to the ambassador of France in Bogota. So, they are not simple citizens.

They have many aquaintances with our political elite and jet set rich people. De Villepin was her teacher in "Sciences Po" university.

This explains the noise around Her.

Though as being part of the richest strates in Colombia and in France (one of the biggest actionnaires in L' Oreal), you should know that the richesses there only belongs to 1 % of the population.

This rich cast also practiced rapts, tortures, etc… with militias.

The problem is that the whole country is corrupted with the drugs benefits. The president Alvaro Uribe was also part of the system.

Now he wants to buy himself a new costum, that had been made whiter than white with this evenment. He was though the one that didn’t want till the last months that Ingrid Betancourt was released. She was a political prisonner, a former concurrent to the presidency. She was naive enough to believe that she could change anything there.

What makes things changed ? Columbia has many mineral richnesses that are envied by different countries, China was part of them.

The three american guis were CIA guis, with the covert of anti-drugs administration.

Me thinks, they weren’t there by mere hazard.

It’s also funny how they promptly join the US, without a smile to the cameras.

France just was the spectator , she has no influence there, poor Sarko, that chose the wrong horse : Chavez and parlementations, while Americans chose the force (the facts give them raison).

Anyway, the Betancourt family should say thank you to the Bush administration. Well, I say it for them.

Now Ingrid Betancourt said she wants to continue politic and represent herself to the presidency candidature.

She is a bit naive, none wants her back there.

Enfin, we’ll may be get some politic debats on TV since she will not occupy the screen any more... uh, not quite yet... at least till SarKo or Carla make the EVENMENT... oh, Carla, tell us if your having a new baby !!!!

The colombian government tries to sell to the world wide that this operation was a military fact of their own, which it was supposed to be only a reddition from one of the Farc groups. (cf Radio suisse romande)

there wasn’t, in spite of the official version, any infiltration in the Farc from the special military services. The group was only followed day after day with the american help (drones). The reddition scenario was prepared by radio with an intermediary.

In the link below, it says that Betancourt should have been freed the last 8 of march, for the Women day, (because of rhe reddition of the Farc members, because of money too ?) though that the american administration refused it, cause that would have given a positive image to the Farc, therefore helping the other groups in favor of rebellisation

the “Radio suisse romande” says that Ingrid Betancourt and the “OTHER 14 OTAGES” weren’t freed through a military operation, but purchased after that a few Farc guards reverted their allegence and then were infiltrated. The amount of money would be 20 millions dollars.

Former Colombian presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt, who was released after six years in captivity on Wednesday, compared her "impeccable" rescue operation to Israeli commando operations.

"Perhaps she did not know it, but Israel indeed contributed to the elaborately-planned, daring rescue mission."

Israel was also in the operation, some bloody HBZ members have links to the narco-traffics that helps them to finance their armement and also their bank accounts in Bogota... and "Global CST, a décroché un contrat de 10 millions de dollars en Colombie, après un feu vert du ministère de la Défense, pour aider les forces spéciales dans leur lutte contre les Farc."

I had also the impression that this operation looks like an Israeli achievment, and not a Colombian 's or an US' ; though Colombia takes the mediatic benefit of it, normal, who doesn't want that this country become a stabbilised country and a front to the commie Chavez ? in that issue Colombia needs to look like a unified and strong, therefore to show that self confident image.

What about the 20 millions dollars ? vanished ! though they came from a switzer bank, from where came the rumor...

Well, anyway it's a success story for all the governments involved there.

BTW, Mme Betancout became french by her first marriage, that had a limited duration, now she is married to a colombian archiitect.

I got that link throught my comments box ; A Brazilian paper confirms that there was really a ransom of 20 millions dollars that has been paid to free Ingrid Betancourt and the 3 Americans
